Causes of dandruff
Dandruff is the excessive flaking of dead skin cells from the scalp. Dandruff is not an organism like lice, but just dead skin that accumulates in the scalp. Skin cells to die and flake is common and normal. But in some people it becomes redundant. When accompanied by redness and irritation of the dandruff can be a symptom of seborrhoeic dermatitis or psoriasis.
Dandruff can also be caused by other conditions:
- Oily skin. Many people believe that dandruff is caused by dry scalp. However, dandruff is also found in oily scalp. Layers of excess oil on the scalp can dry out, thicken and become debris in the form of dandruff.
- Sweat. If you exercise regularly, you sweat more, which can also cause dandruff, especially if you do not wash as often as they should.

What to do if dandruff?

If you have mild dandruff, you can try to increase the frequency of your wash. The more you wash with a mild anti-dandruff shampoo, the less dandruff you have. If necessary, berkeramaslah every day with shampoo to control dandruff growth.
If mild anti-dandruff shampoo is not working or your dandruff is severe, use a shampoo / special anti-dandruff medication that contains selenium sulfide, zinc pyrithione, sulfur acid / salicylic and other active substances to wash your hair. Use only as needed because these drugs tend to be stronger effect. After that, leave it on for at least five minutes before rinsing. Massage your scalp gently with your fingertips for blood circulation in the head. This medicine may be used alone or mixed with regular shampoo (follow use instructions). You can also intersperse the use of anti-dandruff with regular shampoo. Once your dandruff disappears, switch to your regular shampoo.
The natural way to eliminate dandruff
The following tips you can employ to get rid of dandruff on your head naturally:
1. White vinegar
White vinegar is an excellent remedy for dandruff. Combine a cup of white vinegar with a cup of water, and pour it on your scalp after wash, as a final rinse. Let sit, then rinse with clean water.
You can also wash your hair with one tablespoon vinegar 3 tablespoons oil, then cleaned with shampoo. This method gives the same effect as good.
2. Baking soda
Lightly dampen your hair. Take a handful of baking soda and rub your scalp with the baking soda. Then rinse well so all soda is lost from your hair. Do this several times. At first, your hair may be a little dry, but after a week you will see the difference. Your scalp produces natural oils, making your hair gently back and your dandruff will disappear.
Pour 2 tablespoons lime juice in your head. Squeeze-squeeze your hair and scalp. Take a glass of water and add 1 tablespoon of lemon juice into it, then siramkanlah to your hair. Rinse with water after a few minutes. Your head will smell nice and fresh lemon and your dandruff disappears. Repeat several times until your dandruff is completely gone.
Take the salt shaker when you will wash your hair. Sprinkle and rub your scalp with salt. Rinse after a while and wash your hair with shampoo.
5. Coconut milk
Mix the coconut milk from half a coconut, one cup pineapple juice, lime juice, and a half a glass of coconut water. Stir evenly. Use this mixture to wash your hair every five days. Clean with shampoo each time.
